Privacy Policy

This policy explains how BirdDog handles information when people use our website, mobile applications, and construction operations platform.

Last updated August 4, 2026

1. Scope

This Privacy Policy applies to BirdDog websites, the BirdDog Field mobile app, support interactions, and hosted services. BirdDog is operated by Jeremiah Minogue and is a business operations platform used by subcontractors and their authorized workers. A customer organization may control the account and work records associated with its workforce.

2. Information we collect

Account and contact information

We may collect names, business email addresses, phone numbers, company information, job titles, authentication details, roles, permissions, and support correspondence.

Workforce and operational information

Customers and users may provide employee profiles, classifications, certifications, project assignments, schedules, time entries, cost codes, payroll-related records, daily reports, safety records, photos, documents, drawings, assets, equipment details, prefab activity, bids, and other project information.

Location, camera, and device information

When an enabled feature requires it, BirdDog may collect precise or approximate foreground location information, timestamps, device identifiers, push-notification tokens, app and operating-system information, camera or photo content, IP address, browser information, and diagnostic logs. For example, location may support field clock events, project verification, tool workflows, or nearby-work workflows. Device permissions can be managed through the device settings, although disabling them may limit related features.

Offline and device storage

BirdDog Field stores authentication information in platform-protected secure storage and may cache authorized account, project, assignment, timekeeping, photo, tool, request, and notification data on the device so field work can continue without cellular service. Pending submissions are transmitted to BirdDog when connectivity returns. Signing out may preserve some offline information for authorized offline sign-in; the Forget This Device option removes BirdDog credentials and locally stored BirdDog data from that device.

Communications and integration data

We may process email, SMS delivery information, notification preferences, message status, and data exchanged with integrations selected by a customer, such as accounting, payroll, storage, or project systems.

3. How we use information

  • Provide, secure, maintain, and improve BirdDog.
  • Authenticate users and enforce company roles and permissions.
  • Support workforce planning, timekeeping, projects, documents, reporting, prefab, and asset workflows.
  • Send requested service communications and operational notifications.
  • Provide customer support, investigate incidents, and prevent fraud or abuse.
  • Meet contractual, accounting, safety, employment-record, and legal obligations.

If an AI-assisted feature is enabled, BirdDog may process the content submitted to that feature to provide the requested response. Customer content is not used to train a general-purpose model unless that practice is separately disclosed and authorized.

4. How information is shared

We may share information with the customer organization that manages the account, including its authorized administrators, supervisors, and other users according to configured permissions. We may also use service providers for hosting, databases, object storage, email delivery, SMS delivery, security, analytics, and support. Those providers may process information only to perform services for BirdDog and are expected to protect it appropriately.

We may disclose information when required by law, to protect people or the service, to investigate abuse, or as part of a merger, financing, acquisition, or sale of assets. BirdDog does not sell personal information or use it for cross-context behavioral advertising.

5. Email and SMS

BirdDog may send account, security, assignment, schedule, timekeeping, project, safety, and other operational messages. SMS participation is optional unless a customer separately establishes a lawful operational requirement. Message frequency varies. Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to opt out and HELP for help. See the SMS Terms for details.

6. Retention and deletion

We retain information while needed to provide the service, support the customer relationship, maintain security, resolve disputes, and satisfy legal or contractual obligations. Construction, payroll, timekeeping, accounting, and audit records may need to be retained longer than an active user account. Backup copies may remain for a limited period before routine deletion.

Users may request account and associated personal-data deletion through our Data Deletion page. We will delete or de-identify eligible data and explain any information that must be retained for a legitimate legal, security, or recordkeeping reason.

7. Privacy choices

Users can update certain account information in BirdDog or through their organization's administrator. Device permissions can be managed in device settings. Marketing email, if used, will include an unsubscribe method. SMS users can reply STOP. Privacy, access, correction, or deletion requests can be sent to sales@birddog.works.

8. Security

We use administrative, technical, and physical safeguards designed to protect information. No service can guarantee absolute security. Users should protect their credentials, use authorized devices, and promptly report suspected unauthorized access.

9. Children

BirdDog is a business service and is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.

10. Changes and contact

We may update this policy as BirdDog changes. The updated date above identifies the current version. Material changes may also be communicated in the service.
